I have just d/l trial of Suite and would like to know if I can create a partition on an already operating disc - used 56, free 241 GB.

The partition will be for speeding up a Rail Simulation. This partition will only have the simulation on it. If I am able to any advice appreciated.

I would like to allocate 100GB but I know that the trial will not allow this much. If I can do this then when I purchase full Suite can I increase this partition?

    Hello ess,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

Yes, our software allows you to create a partition from the already partitioned drive. Furthermore, you can do so from within Windows, but the program will ask you to reboot in order to complete the partitioning.

Could you please clarify, what do you mean under Rail Simulation?

    Thank you.

    Support, Thanks for reply.

Pleased that I am able to create a partition from image already on HD.

Application Simulation is a Railway Simulation which is very graphics/CPU intensive. Running this from its own partition might prove beneficial.

    Regards,

    Sellick

    Hello ess,

Yes, the described scheme is good.

Please note that trial version of Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 will show you how the software is going to work, however you will not be able to commit any changes. You can also create a small partition (7.8Mb)

    Thank you.
