Hi I have managed to lose my phone which contained my password for a truecrypt file I now need to open.

I know what words are in the password. No one occurs more than once. I just do not know the order. Example: BananaApplePearMango or MangoPearBananaApple.
I am a Mac user with two pretty fast computers but I have no idea where to start. Can someone offer me some guidance?

    Many thanks.

    Hank

How many words does your psw contain?
If they are only 4 (just like your example) the easiest is to try all combinations.

Your problem as stated sounds quite solvable, especially if the potential wordlist (of possible password combinations) isn't too long.

If you can run Windows programs on your Mac then I would suggest using something like OTFBrutusGUI. Once you figure out the syntax you can even use it to build your wordlist.
