Will the annoying slow start menu bug in Windows 7 be fixed in the next build?

I assume it will. Seems to be a LOT going on now after vacations. I'm looking forward to this long-awaited release with major bug fixes. They really are annoying.

That type of action is fine providing your product is not capable of FP's. However, if it is capable of FP's its a very dangerous action to have as default. One FP on a Windows System file and a users PC will not boot to Windows. What use then that it is in the Recycle Bin?

    Hello together,

I have a question concerning panda products.

What is the different between Panda Cloud Pro and Panda Antivirus Pro 2011

Cloud is only scanning in the cloud, but Pro is using the cloud, too.
Cloud is more expensive then pro althought pro has even a firewall and offline scanning.
Is there a difference between the detection rate?
Is Pro only scanning by signature?
When does Pro use the cloud?

I want to buy one of it. I'm always online
Which one would you suggest me to buy?

    Thanks for your help

    Kind regards

    seppi

Along with design changes to the behaviour in the Recycle Bin there's also some changes coming in version 1.3.0 to how we deal with FPs. This new version, which mostly has a lot of fixes (delayed notification, unified recycle bin, etc.) will come out in the next couple of months.

Hi pbust. I still feel that to have "delete" as the default action is dangerous for the reasons posted above. I think that it would be much better for the default action to block access to the file and then ask for user to decide.

How about Aconis's snapman.sys or a similar volume filter driver file? Delete one of those files and you won't be able to boot.

Correct Information: Behavioural analysis (PRO only). Runtime analysis and blocking of running processes. Compatible with 32bits Operating Systems as well as for 32bit processes under 64bit systems.

So Panda created an illusion that the Pro version of PCA would work under x64, but it won't to 100% since it's clearly missing one of the main components to even get the Pro version to begin with. That's disgusting.

The 32 bit OS is still the most common one out there among all the computer users I know by a wide margin. I hope to move out of the "stone age" within a year.

You better. :) 32-bit OS users are what makes the development of modern security applications slow-paced.

Why would 32bit slow down the creation of modern slow paced? In my own opinion not enough people use 64bit so many security vendors do not have a full reason to make a native 64bit application.

Just to add this is the first PRO version release they have to get the extra features ready before they release a bug filled PRO version.

Yeah, but Panda sold me a product which they claimed to be compatible with x64 but now I find out some of the behavioral protection does not work with it.

    Good job Panda! :thumb:

Correction Behavior Analysis works on 64bit:

Behavioural analysis (PRO only). Runtime analysis and blocking of running processes. Compatible with 32bits Operating Systems as well as for 32bit processes under 64bit systems.

(Very sorry for the confusion :( )
