When I first boot up and try to use the Boot Menu tools my mouse is not responding, it just jumps from the bottom of the screen to the top. Any one no what the problem might be here?

A also have had this symptom but on a random basis. If I reboot, the problem disappears.

    Hello pfralin,

Does your optical mouse has USB interface or PS/2?

    Thank you.

Please try to enable/disable the "USB Legacy support" option in your BIOS settings.

    Thank you.

    I've the same problem here.. I use a Asus P4P800 Deluxe Motherboard with Logitech® Cordless Desktop® MX™.

My mouse only goes up and down... Enabeling/Disabeling the Legacy support doesn't help...

    What's the problem?
