    Hi:

I have found out this online virtual windows called silveos (Silverlight operating system) that is a exact virtual windows of windows vista with all features incl. desktop, my computer, all softwares like browser (a copy of windows) that work on IE and firefox only for windows and macs. Do not know if it works on linux (if you try let us know). This would be great if use it in sandboxed firefox for example for testing malwares or do anything that you do not want to do with your windows. Like a virtualization software but without the hastle of installing it. Anyway enjoy.

Yep, but it accesses your desktop (was prohibited by my group policy settings)

I understand the concept, but apart from testing malware with it, personally i don't see the point of it ? I feel that running a virtual system locally is much better, and has to be faster. Plus, how/why could/would they provide ALL that bandwith & server access etc etc for free ?

I think privacy is a big concern, and now security too, see below.

Yeah i just saw this

So instead of a "supposed" online isolated enviroment, there is now the "potential for skullduggery

Anyway out of curiosity i enabled SD and went there. I had to allow scripts/requests & then install Silverlight

After SL installed all i got was this, and no further ?

This was on XP/SP2, maybe why ?
