Online Armor 3.5.0.XX released - no need for threads for each minor version!

    OA 3.5.0.49 has been released. I couldn't find a changelog in the forum, but it does say the update is gradually being rolled out via the internal updater. It's also available for direct download on the web site.

    Doh! They are bit late this time. I would like to use Windows 7 as soon as possible. OA keeps me off from Windows 7. :p

    It is only for 7 days then it will stop. These popups can be suppressed earlier by setting registry key “HKLM/Software/Tall Emu/Online Armor/NoNagScreen” to 1.

    Hi Everyone,

    Sorry that you find the popup irritating. Quite frankly, we're experimenting with ways to let users know about Online Armor Premium edition. Part of the problem is that Online Armor Free is so good that a lot of users don't even consider an upgrade - perhaps moreso, now that we've added keylogger protection to the free version.

    Considering we don't add toolbars or other junk, despite a pretty compelling offer to do so - I don't think a popup is _so_ bad. It does only appear for 8 days, and there is a way to disable it. When we compare to popups in other products which appear forever, again, we didn't think we were doing such a bad thing.

    Nevertheless, everyone hates it :( So, as soon as possible I will be getting added a checkbox on the popup itself to "Don't show me again".

    In the meanwhile, please use the reghack published above to supress the popup if it annoys you.

    I can say that your product is reliable so far. For this reason, certainly, I have the license for this one, and yet I am afraid that I cannot use it now due to my current Windows platform, which is the very Windows 7 from Technet.

    Thus, I wish the time advanced a little. Thank you for your zeal unlike those Ghost Security's ones.

    Hi - Win7 is in Beta now. A couple of glitches that we're working on. Win7 x64 support is also on the way.

    We are on target to have the win7 32bit edition out with Win7 but I dont have a firm timeline on x64 yet, though most of the base R&D work has been done.

    I don't use OA. But this answer is impressive. Thank you for giving users a sane alternative. Hmm, maybe I should look into using it, since it's this kind of response that makes me want to deal with a company.

    hi, i think you can make it to appear once every month or every two weeks. This way user wil be reminded every month and getting nag once a month is not irritating IMO.

    Mike,

    Any chance of adding feature "Block all the traffic during system boot" in the free version in future?

    BTW, I'm using Premium version and it's really great and light.

    Yep - hotfix for an issue in banking mode that could cause some bank URL to be blocked.

    We're having some discussions internally about the way we'll be splitting up the products and features in future. It's too early to comment on any specific features.

    There's been a bit of discussion over at our site about it too.
