    Unlike government/ISP snooping, something CAN and SHOULD be done about this kind of abuse. Governments can hide behind national security, ISPs can claim snooping to stop bandwidth abuse among other things, your local IT guy cannot legitimately hide behind such excuses to access personal salaries and such things. These people should be fired on the spot for such offenses.It is NOT an IT techs' job to do such things, they are there to PROTECT the networks, not use them for a treasure hunt, so to speak.

    Hello,
    Nothing special really. But a knowledgeable person can prevent this, if he/she desires this. It's important not to get into (too much) trouble, though, if you want to stay at the particular workplace.
