I have AntiVir's Guard set to Scan reading/writing, All files and Unpack compressed.

Hueristic is set for Macrovirus as well as Win32 file and detection level is set to High.

I would consider it a 'must' for the greatest protection OnLine.

Cons could be that some Scanners might slow your System, have not seen that at all.

The 'High' detection level setting could produce more False Positives, I have yet to see the first.

AntiVir's default is a Medium level, when their new Huerstic was in recent beta,
they recommended High level, and as I said, has not been a problem.

I would much prefer to be determining that a detection was real or not, than to chance missing something.

Would be important to just Quarantine and not Delete or Repair a file, until investigated.

A frequent detection of False Positive and I would adjust it lower. :)
