I do IT support for small businesses, and I am an ESET partner. At one of my customers, a newly setup notebook has been stolen, probably by a person related to the customer.

The notebook gets updates from ESET servers, not from a local ERA server. (However, it reports it's status to the local ERA server, so I know the system details - MAC address, ESET version, ESET license data, etc - of the notebook.)

Now I wonder if it is possible to get the WAN IP address of the location from where the last signature update was requested by the notebook. Does ESET track any such information on it's update servers, and whom would I need to contact to ask for specific data?

    Thanks for any hint.

    Hello,

You can try opening a support ticket with the distributor or ESET office in your country. Your client will need to supply them with a copy of the police report.
