    That would be earlier this week at this forum and refers to creative combination of technology that goes far beyond what you insinuate.

    The stuff MRG tests is randomly named and polymorphic yet we have it locked down in most cases. How does that work if you are correct?

    Like I said, it might be a better idea to talk about what you know rather than half heard from someone else and hardly understand.

    I remember there was a time when renaming notepad.exe to a known malicious file would trigger a detection.

    Can you elaborate on this?

    Was notepad.exe just copied to another location and given a "virus name",or was the original renamed?

    A few months ago MBAM detected an empty C:\A folder as malware :oops: We all know that MBAM has some silly detection methods ...

    However - this thread is about Norton Power Eraser! Does the glitch with version 2 still exist? :(
