    I understand you have to be a member of Costco to get this offer. If you are not a member, it will cost you fifty dollars to join in addition to the software price.

    Find a cheap copy of NIS 2009 on Amazon Market Place, or eBay, and use the key to activate, or renew your subscription to NIS 2010. I just picked up a retail 3-user version of NIS 2009 for $15. Just be careful and make sure you're buying from a reputable seller.

    Very clever - I should have thought of that. I purchased Norton 2008 (two years ago) and have received "free" upgrades to 2009 and 2010 when I renewed my virus update subscription.
