I'm trying to install Nod32 on a Windows 98 system. I've checked for any other anti virus or firewall programs and there are none. It seems to install fine, but when Windows restarts I get this error:

"NOD32KUI caused a general protection fault
    in module MACXW4.DRV at 0011:00000618."

With a lot more numbers following which I can post if needed.

I have un-installed and re-installed several times. I re-downloaded the Windows 98 version of Nod32 to make sure I had the right one in the first place. Same error.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello,

Are you using an ATI Video card? If so, see if there are any newer drivers available.

You were on the right track BFG! Thanks

I realized after staring at it for a while that MACXW4.DRV was a Video VXD. I went in and set the Hardware Acceleration down to basic, and I no longer get the error!

    Thanks much for you response!
