nod32krn.exe accessing www.refdesk.com: why?

    My licensed copy of nod32krn.exe is attempting to access www.refdesk.com - why?

    Based on an earlier inquiry, it's probably just trying to check for an update. In this previous thread it appears there may have been some confusion regarding what IP refdesk resolved to as compared to the IP of the ESET server.

    Thanks for the link to the other thread, but the issue still appears to be unresolved.

    Perhaps a better question is: what IP address(es) should NOD32 be allowed to access for its updates?

    The IP's are as followed:

    u1.eset.com: 62.168.97.102
    u2.eset.com: 140.239.119.12 (www.refdesk.com)
    u3.eset.com: 82.208.27.3
    u4.eset.com: 62.168.97.99
