    Hi,

Today I was infected with the nasty virusremover2008, but Nod32 didn't even acknowledge that this virus/ad-ware/malware is even being installed on my computer, nor did identify the the wininstall.exe file when I scanned it manually. Instead, it said the file was fine. The virus even installed Trojan droppers and nod32 did not stop them. This is very disappointing, considering that some of the files that I had to clean manually were previously included in definition updates.

Any help to determine where is the problem would be appreciated.

Hello, it is really sad to see this, it is unlucky to become infected by an undetected virus, but unfortunately no AV can detect 100% of viruses.

The solution to your problem would be to send the suspicious files to ESET: http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN141

They can then add them to detection and it should clean up the mess.
