    Hi All,

    Just curious...

I use Gaim occasionally for instant messaging. However I did notice that in the client compatiblity list for IMON that Gaim does not show up. :'(

Does NOD32 not support it? MSN messenger shows up btw, but not Gaim.

As an aside, Mozilla Thunderbird does not show up either.

Any clues as to why this is? Should I do an uninstall reinstall?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jag

I don't know about Gaim. I do know NOD scans Thunderbird. Are you getting the appended message in your emails?
It may be designated as Mozilla ** in the compatibility list.

    Hi ronjor,

I have two accounts setup with Thunderbird.

    1. My ISP email acct.
    2. My forwarded Gmail acct.

I get the normal message stating NOD32 scanned my e-mails for my ISP email, but nothing shows up for the forwarded Gmail msgs. (I just ran a test just now).

Gaim still does not show up. I am pretty sure it did with the last version of NOD32.

    Ronjor,

Thanks again, looks like I have to use Outlook for Gmail. :'(

And to think I just reformatted yesterday too. ;)

Thanks for the info, one down one to go (Gaim not showing up).

    Thanks and Regards,

    Jag

    Hi Jaguar:

I have GAIM on a box and it shows in IMON under Mozilla/4.0 gaim.exe (v1.3.0).

I am also running that same version but it does not show up. I wonder do I need to reinstall NOD32 or Gaim or both?

Try Gaim first. Have you tried to edit the IMON list previously?

    Hello,

Be sure that you have "automatically detect HTTP communications on other ports" checked in Imon setup. Then type something for a friend, and go back in "client compabillity",and see if you ge mozilla/ 4.0 gaim exe in there.

Worked for me,hope it works for you :)
