    Hi, I'm having a really bad day, because I can't install NOD32.
About a week ago, I accidently deleted a registry of IMON of NOD32.
Something that has to do with the client compatibility thingy.
After that, IMON didn't work, at least i couldn't edit the setting of IMON.
So I tried to completely erase NOD32, but i failed, because I couldn't delete
    the registry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ESET
I always get the message that I am unable to delete the registry
Today, I downloaded the NOD32 setup file and tried to install it, but
I get the error message "(116) Error occured while updating the registry! RR"
What am I suppose to do? I am so obsessed with NOD32...
I really want to use it... Is there any way that I can fix it without using any
    recovery software?

Thanks ronjor, but I tried everything that says in that thread.
I even tried to delete it with regedit in Safe Mode.

I would wait for an Eset moderator to comment on this problem.

I've sent an email to the ESET moderator, thanks
How long does it take to receive the reply?

Apparently you don't have write permission for that key, try logging in as administrator and delete it.

Note: it seems that you are from China so you'd better contact the Chinese support if you run into an issue.

Marcos, I tried logging in as a administrator in Safe Mode.
But I still can't delete it... I did set the registry for everyone to delete or view, but I still get the same error message... Thanks anyways
Bubba, I hope so... I mean... It's my PC, I'm suppose to have the admin rights... right?
P.S. I'm not actually Chinese... hehe, I'm working at Hong Kong...

It was the problem with the permission (for Administrator) to delete the
registry. I succefully deleted in Safe Mode. And now I successfully
    installed NOD32, Thanks All :)

When you are signed in as Admin you definetly should have Admin rights unless you or someone tweaks the Admin account.
Unless someone tweaks an Admin account....permissions should never be a problem and glad you got it sorted out.
