    Hello ESET,

I would like to better understand how ESET is protecting itself against piracy. Can you shed a light on this for me please?

There are some things we do against piracy. To say more is not necessary IMHO.

Brian, I think this is a viable subject. Piracy is a major issue for everyone. I think if anyone is capable of defeating it a security company is. I want to know how ESET is doing it.

I understand that various methods ie. Blacklisting Username/Pwd's, checking for tampered components ie. NOD32 Kernel, ps_upd.dll, nod32kui.exe etc :ninja:

I think the keygens will be trojans - I doubt you can't generate a username/password combination for eset's update servers - you can guess a username easy enough, but the password will be a different matter - and if you DID have their algo - blacklisting of known exploited username/password combos will kill that off one combo at a time.
