Newbie getting started questions

Just installed TI8 (trial) and I have a couple of questions. It looks like I can't burn a 3 gig (or any) image directly to DVD. Correct? (Is this a limitation of the trial software?)

So... I created a file, xxx.tib and then burned that file to a blank DVD. Can I boot using the "rescue" cd and then using the .tib file, do a restore to a formatted drive?

Sorry, but I think the manual is way overdone and doesn't really get simply to the point.

Is there a way to test the image I created on the DVD?
