hope they add the usb scann feature in this version. Some have said it was not important but i think it is . And besides that they add some features like safe browser abilities to the suite

Eh? Scanning usb? Its already there...
Last time I inserted an infected USB memory stick, ZA killed it instantly.

i am thinking of that but it was 30 bucks and i really did not want to spend that much for browser stuff. I tried the beta ZASS and it ran very very light. Noe=w it is becoming very interesting

Indeed quite a drastic change in memory use and running processes, only the GUI and one process in the task manager. Btw, its ZA AV and not ZA Suite.

    Sorry, no idea...
It is just the first beta... IMO you will need to wait at least a couple of months. September is my best guess...

is this for the ZASS or just ZA antivirus?
will they keep AV separate from the AS or join the two together?

ZoneAlarm antivirus also includes the spyware protection provided by the Kaspersky engine, therefore I think The antispyware feature will remain exclusive to ZA Pro/ISS.

Hmmm.. I would like know his performances with Leak Test's. Matousec would be great, but it need wait always too much.

Uuuhm, you seem quite stressed with leaktests, I can see a post from you in almost every ZA new release thread... :)

Anyway, it is much better than what reported by Matousec that tested a very old version. ZA 9 now incorporates new advanced program control feature that are designed to protect the system from more threats (and pass more useless "Marketousec" tests :D ). But don't expect a tool that will bleep like a pinball when something happens. ZA is not paranoid as other tools. Usability is a priority not just protection....

Current Beta 1 of Extreme.... is Extremely buggy... LOL. Wait for the next version, coming soon.

    Cheers,
    Fax

Thanks for the answer. But I'm not stressed with LT. ;) My answer is in your second quoted phrase: I'm used to be " paranoid " using an HIPS - my ideal was System Safety Monitor when it ran :( -, and protection is MY priority. No problem for usability. Regards. ;)

I love this :D Still remember the pain back then when anti-virus and anti-spyware scans were performed separately.

You will be protected even without the pinball light and sounds, no need of watching your PC invaded by messages :D. But yes, I agree with you, ZA is not SSM ...
