Hi, I just bought a NetGear wireless router, and I'm currently using Trend Micro IS 2008. I need your opinion about this router's firewall. In particular, is it reliable enough for chatting, downloading, and surfing? Because I can't find any place to check its firewall's log to see how it works. Do I need to configure "Port Forwarding" part? And should I disable Trend Micro's firewall?

    Please answer!

\dunno what model you have, I have an old DG834G and the logs are on the settings page. I am quite happy with the Firewall in this one, although I like the use of a software firewall also as I find they are often more user friendly.
This model has UPnP port forwarding if enabled.

    Hi Thanks for your reply.
I'm using WGR614. After reading some knowledge base in official netgear site. I think that the Log under Filtering is used to log (Allow or Block) the sitesv that we visited. Therefore, I can't find anyway to check the firewall activities.
Anyway, I found a good answer from Official Netgear forum provided by Ronjor. Thanks again!
