I'm trying to download a file and NoD 3.0 keeps eating it. Rather than disable, how do I change NoD's 'live defense' to prompt for action rather than it's voracious gobble & swallow without as much as a 'by your leave'?

I want it to 'ask' so I can nominate 'ignore' when required.

It's not clear from your post which download source you refer to - whether downloads from the web or downloads from an email client like . . . . . . . say - Microsoft Outlook. Anyways, you'll need to navigate through 'Advanced mode' to the download source that is giving you grief (I've assumed Web access protection as an example in the first image) and then configure your 'ThreatSense engine parameter setup' to 'No cleaning' as per the second image. This will force NOD32 to stop cleaning and ask you for YOUR action, instead.
