    Hi guys,

I recently asked around If I need a software firewall along with my firewall NAT router just to monitor outbound connections.

I am behind a router firewall now along with Mcafee VirusScan.

Now for the firewall, I think Im going to go try Comodo firewall but ONLY the firewall. Now, since Comodo has this HIPS thing called Defense ++, will this give me the ZERO-DAY protections too as well?

    Thanks.

comodo is really a good choice if you are used to classical HIPS..I would also suggest you trying private firewall :)

Ok, I know.....But do these prevent the Zero-Day exploits as well, so I do not have to rush on patching my OS? get

In other words, some enterprise level AVs do prevent/recognize exploits BEFORE they are patched or discovered....

So how about these that you just mentioned?
