My computer’s system drive has crashed. I had backed it up with DB8Per on another internal drive, so I tried to restore it. I replaced the old drive with a new, larger one. I booted up from the DB8 boot CD, located the archive with the image and tried to restore it. Unfortunately, I got an error message saying “Archive is not fit. This image can’t be restored on the current selection”.
The computer in question is an old HP Pavilion 553w, which, besides the system partition has a hidden recovery partition on the system drive. I backed up both partitions in one archive. The archive folder shows both images.
How can I overcome this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

Please try to restore System partition separately. Does it work?

No, it did not work. It seems to me that I have to restore the entire disk image (both partitions) for it to boot.
