I was wondering if there was a program that uses multiple engines to scan files. I remember one being called MultiAV and AVT or something. ARe there any others? Just need a good one to run the various definitions with diff engines.

also, besides appremover, is there a program that will uninstall all antiviruses? i thought i heard about one a couple years ago, but i cant find it.

any info would be great thankx :)

I thought about AVERT aswell but the OP is looking for a file scanner, AVERT is a post-infection system scanner and does not have the ability to scan single files. Therefore AVERT does not meet his/her needs.
Anyway, he/she can always try it out. :thumb:

Trustport uses four (4) engines. It tops the detection rates according to VB and scans in real-time.

I think the OP meant on-demand file scanner. Not a resident/real-time AV. So that leaves Trustport and Coranti out of the discussion. Tho I know you can always disable real-time protection, but I think that's just worthless, IMO.
