    Hi there.

I'm currently using ESS 4.2.64.12 and I've heard that Eset has temporarily stopped supporting the new Mozilla Thunderbird.

I still want to use Mozilla Thunderbird with the latest version, which is 10.0.2, and my questions are:
    1. Does ESS still protect my email from malware and hacker attack?
    2. Should I get worried about the safety of my email password?
    3. Does ESS scan my incoming email and attachment for threats?

    Thanks.:doubt:

From KB Article SOLN2138: ESET Smart Security version 5 will scan POP3/POP3S and IMAP/IMAPS email for the presence of malicious code while using Mozilla Thunderbird 6 and later or other email clients not listed above. Email will not be scanned for spam, however.

So essentially, the answer to questions 1 and 3 is YES

We use T-Bird 10.0.2 and ESET does stop incoming viruses.
