Are Add-ons working OK with Firefox 6.0?

I use Adblock Plus, No-Script, BitDefender TrafficLight Beta and AVG LinkScanner.

    Thanks in Advance.

Just before you update, the updater will check and let you know if any are incompatible. At that point you can cancel or continue the update

Java Console 6.0.25 & 7.0 appear to be disabled in my copy of FF6. For some reason, the former version of Java should have been removed after installing version 7.0, but remained in the list. As it is, they're both disabled due to being "incompatible with Firefox 6."

Not going to install right now because two of my favorite addons Readability and Sothink web video downloader are yet to be compatible.

Yes, I miss Readability as well. However, this may prove to be a bit of a stop-gap.

Getting add-ons to be compatible, i.e., get Firefox to stop reporting them as incompatible, is easy. But just because FF says they're compatible that doesn't always mean they'll work. Often they still have problems with not displaying properly or features not working or just being totally fubarred.

Mozilla strokes coders with Firefox 6 - The Register

But you guys were already all over this like a kid on a Christmas present. :)
And since the Add-ons aren't working, it's like having to wait to go outside and play with your new toys waiting until your parents wake up from their nap.

I'm on Firefox 6 now and so far I can't tell any difference. :argh:
I did notice this in the change log.
I personally don't like that "feature".

Update checker failed to see there was a newer version of Firebug available for me to use with FF6. After manually updating Firebug, FF6 installed fine.

I think it's also helpful to have the net on at the time of the two restarts.

Supposedly with FF6 you don't need Firebug anymore.

The domain being highlighted in the address bar exists in other browsers too, such as IE & Chrome. I think it's an attempt to make users aware they're on the right site and not some phishing page where the domain will change.
