monitor is going crazy

guys my monitor is going crazy, it is starting to jump and black lines are going like this __________________________________

____________________________________________
_____________________________________________________ all over the screen, I'm going crazy. Did anyone have this problem before and can they tell me how to fix it. And I took out the plugs and pluged them back in but nothing works. The screen just jumps and starts stretching by itself. any help ??

 

Hi Devin84, it is more than likely you are seeing your monitor on its last legs, and you will generally find that even getting a quote on repair of a 15" or 17" CRT monitor will cost you far greater than what a replacement will.

The simplest solution is to plug another monitor into your computer and see if you get the same results, if you do, then it is your Video Card that is failing.
