Migrate Easy v7: Cloned drive "read error" - drive not bootable

    Used Migrate Easy v7 (under XP w/ SP2) to clone 250 GB SATA to new 1 TB SATA drive using the auto settings wizard and expanding the new partition to occupy the entire 1 TB.

    Clone completes. I change the boot drive in BIOS to the new drive and try to boot. Receive error: "A read error has occurred. Please press <CTRL><ALT><DEL> to reboot."

    Performed low level format and re-cloned again. Same result.

    Booting with the old drive, the new drive shows as "NTFS, Healthy (Active)" under Disk Management in XP.

    Can anyone make a suggestion what might be preventing this drive from booting?
