    I'm making a serious attempt to break free. So far, Mint 11 is playing well. I hope by the time Mint 12 rolls out, I'll no longer need to dual boot.

    Every O.S. EOL's, including Linux distros. Or do you mean you dislike paying? Considering you're on XP, the last time you paid for an OS was at maximum 10 years ago.
