Thanks Ronjor for the Major Geek link.

I just downloaded 1.0.614 and intalled over the older version 1.0.613 without uninstalling.

It works! I got the latest version now - 1.0.614.

    Cheers :D

    Not really sure.

For whatever reason 1.0.614 keeps letting me update from 5725 to 5729.

Continually updating from 5725 to 5729 as well. Glad I upgraded (snarl). It was working so I had to mess with it!

    Hi,
Don't worry about the reupdate thing.
I've had the same problem. You can solve it by either of the two:
    1) Let is be, it's gonna come back.
    2) Install Age of Mythology and it will repair some missing dll (don't ask me how I figured this one!).
    Mrk

It usually happens if you run punkbuster game software or if you do not run a scan before updating the definitions. Let is run its nightly 2am scan and then after next shut down then power up, your definitions should be ok. I'm still not 100% sure about it, but I've had it several times and it comes back ok.

Download these 3 files to M$AS folder in Program Files mentioned by jmorlan in here.

    http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,13732022~start=100#end

After that my endless update loop vanished when I rebooted my PC.

    Best regards,
    Firefighter!

Try Shutting down MSAS and be sure no processes for it are running. Download and unzip the files into their proper locations. Restart MSAS....

    HTH ;) ...

ROFL I wonder if there are 104 changes between the two?

    :) I'm losing ground.

MS automatic update for AntiSpyware alerted me, too, to update to .613. I have automatic update turned on. I wonder why Major Geeks would have a newer version than MS? Does the download say .614 or is it a typo?

No, it's not a typo. My version is really 1.0.614.

Im going to ditch it in favor of BOClean. MS must be aware of the problem by now. Just lazyness on their part. They should have fixed it with a program update.
