    Hi All,
Wondered if anyone could shed some light on a minor problem.
Having installed ProcessGuard a few days ago, it appears to have a conflict with Microsoft Outlook. Outlook will no longer run it displays an error message saying that "The ordinal 36 could not be located in the dynamic link library MAPI32.dll"
I reinstalled outlook through MS Office (MS Office 97) and it sort of worked for a while, however on rebooting the computer the same error reappeared again.
This is not a big issue for me as I only use outlook for the calander / diary / contacts lists. However it would be nice to get it working again rather than getting some new software.
    Thanks in advance,
    Cheers https://www.wilderssecurity.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=13#
    Cool

Hi sailorsam, Outlook proper works fine here though it is a later version than yours.
Can you please tell us what version of windows you are using?
Your version of ProcessGuard, trial or licensed?
Where you got your version of ProcessGuard from?

    Thanks. Pilli

    Hi Philli,

    Firefox browser
    Thunderbird email client
    Protector Plus Anti virus
    TDS3 trojan
    SpyBlaster
and all the "normal" type programs.

The version of ProcessGuard is V3.100 it is a full version and was purchased from DiamondCS a few days ago.

OK, The settings I have for outlook are as follows.
Permit always for the Security list.
In the protection list I just have the default settings. I am almost certain that this is not a ProcessGuard problem.

On doing a little "Googling" I have come up with the following link, although this is to do with Netscape I am wondering if Firefox may do a similar thing.

And here is an MS KB answer."Installing or Restoring the Mapi32.dll Stub"

    Hi Philli,
Thanks for your efforts. The problem is resolved. My apologies to the team at DiamondCS the problems wasn't caused by ProcessGuard. It was Mozilla thunderbird mail client!!!!
Removed thunderbird and went back to Eudora everything is back to normal. Pity really as thunderbird has a very nice spam filter.
    Again thanks for your help.

    Cheers,
