    Yes!!! SSM developer's announcement HERE is paraphrased as follows...

    The new beta primarily addresses NicM's hook tests. SSM now blocks the main mechanism used by most of the malware tested and generates much more meaningful alerts even if the malware executable was allowed to run once.

    SSM does NOT restore its system hooks since its not safe and doing so will cause conflicts with other security software.

    I agree. Now that right there is exactly the right approach we should come to expect from all the chief HIPS vendors when serious flaws like that can invite disaster are discovered.

    Fine and timely response no doubt.
