I´m not using it (in fact,I´m not using USB sticks at all ),but I do hang around from time to time on forum where it all began.MCShield is not "out-of-the -blue" app ,it´s in active use for quite some time ,and it´s well documented. You can use it without any hesitation (I have it in my must-have-toolbox ! ).
Moreover,I tink I taw a putty cat (the author) posting here on Wilders a couple months ago.

How would you compare this to other tools (BitDefender USB Immunizer, Panda USB Vaccine, No Autorun, Etc.)?

As I said,I´m not using any of those USB-stuff (sticks,card-readers,drives...),but I´ll say they´re not in the same category at all, since MCShield is way,way more complex (anti-malware) app with a heuristic engine on it´s own.

You can find more details here :

Give it a chance ,you´ll not regret it (from what I know) ...

I just got through testing it, and it seems to work out quite well. On one of my external drives it found and neutralized some malware I didn't know was on there (No false positive).

I'm a computer technician and I use that drive constantly while helping clients, so it must have been transferred at some point in time, it's nice that it removed it.

The weird thing is, is that I scan that drive before every session.

Anyways, I like how it automatically scans your external drives when you plug it in...definitely a nice feature.

For now, this seems like a keeper.
