   will this cause any change to their update site ie ftp.nai.com/virusdats/... if so DAMN, i cant seem to get any answer out of mcafee on this point

   This is just an educated guess but I believe that the updates will still be available at Nai because of their corporate updates there which in essence are the same for home use.
