I seen that when a person tries to download MBAM from the MBAM site they are not send directly to CNET / Download.com. Now I'm sent to Techspot.com. I have not heard much about techspot, does anyone have experience with the site?

It's a trustworthy site. Alongside with AnandTech, Toms Hardware, X-bit Labs, WinDrivers were the web-sites I used to hang out the most whenever I wanted to learn something about computer hardware, computer benchmarks, software, etc.
    That was back in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 etc.
I still "stop by" these sites to keep up with hardware news.

Then, when I wanted to learn about Windows and software in general, I used to visit ActiveWin, NeoWin, NTCompatible, etc. until I realized about a site named Wilders Security back in 2007.

So bottom line, if MBAM is redirecting you there for the download, I can tell you, that site is safe.

Thanks for the info. Nice to see MBAM switch away from CNET / Download.com
