    Hi,
I am running Returnil System Safe 2011 (free version - Version 3.2.10351.5418-REL3) on a Windows 7 Home Premium computer.
I configured Returnil to Start Virtual Mode when Windows starts.
The issue I'm encountering is that when the computer starts I loose connection to a mapped drive.
Interestingly the shortcut on the desktop "points" back to the local C: drive. The letters NTSF can be read next to the mapped drive if I open "computer".
If I do not configure Returnil to Start Virtual Mode when Windows starts but rather I start the Virtual Mode from within the program (after a fresh restart of the computer) the mapped drive works perfectly every time.
Any ideas how to fix this issue?
    Thank you in advance.

Hi dkreturnil and welcome to the forums :)

Please open a support ticket by sending us the following logs via e-mail to support (dash) tech (at) returnil (dot) com:

The rvs3.log and rvs3.inst.log files in the following folder:

    * C:\ProgramData\Returnil\RVS3\log
    * MSINFO32 report: Click START > RUN/search as appropriate > Type MSINFO32 > enter. On the System Information screen click FILE > Export and then save the file where you can find it and attach it to the support ticket.

    Hi DK,
I hope the holidays were good and I apologize for the delay on getting back to you on this issue report. The issue here may be as simple as the drive letter assignment for the mapped drive. If you set the designation to "Z", you will encounter a conflict due to RSS?RVS reserving that letter for the virtual system when in Virtual Mode.

Does this issue happen when you choose a different drive letter?

    Mike

    Hi Mike,
I re mapped the shared folder with a different letter (originally "Z"), set Returnil to start VM when system starts and now it works perfectly!
Thank you so much to you and your team of engineers.
    Best regards,
    DK
