It still sounds like something is blocking it.

So, should I let it update or should I wait for Macrium to see if there is an issue with 1544?

I finally got it to work. I have no idea how. First I set Boot option to 0. Then rebooted and set it to WinPE 10. Got error message "Unable to import store". Used Task Manager to stop Macrium, then rebooted and Lo and Behold the Win 10 boot menu was there with the correct version.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hey all,

Quick question. I have a file on the root of my D: drive. When I try to do a Macrium file and folder backup, it won't let me select the file as it forces me to browse to a folder. I can't move this file to a folder (not an option in this case) so is there a way to select this file? I am using the latest version with the update from the other day. Thanks!

    Thanks.

It isn't updating on one of my machines. I click download, which it does, then it starts "Searching" but it isn't finding whatever it is looking for. :doubt:

    Thanks :thumb:

Happy Macrium camper here too. Also use DS as a second alternative for good measure.

How can this happen x2? My x64 W10 Desktop sleeps after 10 minutes. We were away all afternoon and my Firefox theme had changed. Specifically, the "Theme Font & Size Changer" extension settings were completely changed. It was the same version I was running this morning while on and off the PC. However, the real mystery is MR is not restoring my Ff profile. I've attempted three image restores from incrementals 9/9 and 9/11 from two different backup drives, and each time I open Ff it is still corrupted. How is this even possible? MR has never, never, ever missed a detail! Thank you?

I'm not sure it's an MR issue. The exact same thing happened today with "Thunderbird" as far as the "Theme Font & Size Changer" was concerned... and ONLY ON THE W10 SYSTEM (v1511). I haven't had a chance to try and track it down yet... very strange.

Something has happened to the Mozilla CORE which was updated... the extension mentioned above will not re-install and operate properly. I will test this on other OSes in the AM but the continued discussion should not occur here in the Macrium thread.

Thank you frog! My question was in the vein of why an image (from any recovery app) with a properly working browser would not then render the properly working browser? Thank you again and good night.

    Hi Froggie

Ratched's question is a good one. No matter what changed in Firefox restoring the image should put it back UNLESS, the change took place before the images were taken.

Ratchet is there an auto update on someplace. That could cause the old image to get updated to new version of core.

I use the same EXTENSION in Thunderbird on my W7 System (don't use T-bird that much) and noticed this morning that it is also inoperative on that same W7 System... I have no idea when that began. The W10 inoperability was noticed for the 1st time yesterday morning. No backups have been used to correct the problem as yet.

Ratchet's question is a good one (about returning to previous images), but it's very strange that the same failure occurs on multiple Systems with different OSes at the same time... maybe a time bomb :shifty:

Most Mozilla software is DEFAULTed to a release channel for updates... these occur between restarts of the software. If Ratchet imaged backwards, that same release channel would update his software once again between restarts. I'm not sure that's the issue, but the identical issue on 3-separate Systems with 2-different OSes on the same day doesn't appear to be a Macrium Reflect issue.
