mac filter sec benefit

    Some time ago I remembered somebody wrote that mac filters are a useless form of security....

    out of a belated curiosity since I can't find that actual post I decided to open a new thread...


    so really, is it because most attacks originate past the mac filter and is never a compromise?

    or does it actually help when it comes to certain particular threats which I don't know about... ?? which?? why??
