Lost E-Mail files recovery software?

    I have lost a number of my E-Mail files and I remember when this happened a few years ago that I found some recovery software that worked really well but I can't remember what it was.

    Can anyone make a recommendation?

    Some forensic labs actually use Recuva;

    I recovered a document with it once, a week after I formated, and installed Windows8.1 over top of Windows 7. So yeah, it can work nicely. No guarantees obviously.
