Looknstop and linkscanner conflict?

I recently tried linkscanner lite

And on three occasions that i tried to install it looknstop said it had encountered a problem and would shut down.Drwatson error log was created showing looknstop access violation error.It would install with looknstop chutdown and seemed to work ok until trying to uninstall linkscanner produced the same result with looknstop crashing.This happened on my w2000 pro OS.Is anyone else having problems with linkscanner lite and looknstop?.

The same has happened to me as well.
Only it was LinkScanner Pro not lite but the same result.
After learning of this I would shut down LNS whenever installing or uninstalling LSP.
I no longer have either installed at the moment so not a problem here.
Hopefully Frederic can find a solution for you.(and myself if i install both again)

Mmmm it is possible that when i installed linkscanner that i choose to try the pro trial version option in the installer which then reverts back to the lite.

P.S IM USING LOOKNSTOP 2.06 (MAY 19TH 2007)

The problem has been fixed in the 2.06p1 version of Look 'n' Stop.

It is the following item from the history/change log section:

When getting the description/comments from the resources of an executable file, a crash could occur if the description was bigger than expected​

The same problem occured with another application sometime ago.

Here, the description in LinkScannerLiteSetup_2_7_0_0105_6.exe resources is "LinkScanner Installation_____________________________________
____________________________________________________________
____________________________________________________________
____________________________________________________________
___________________"
(I've replaced " " with "_")

Thanks for the information.Is the updated looknstop version at the site or should i download the 2.06 p2 in the sticky section here on the forums?
