Hi newhere It's about the Service Message Block: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIFS To disable the listening on port 445: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetBT\Parameters create a new key: SmbServiceEnabled Type: Dword Value: 0 (to disable) 1 (to enable) P.S. A replacement tool for Netstat: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/Networking/TcpView.mspx
so the line "s1.de......." is not bad ? it's keep changing all the time like today it was, mojo.w3.org....so it's ok ?
Hi newhere Looks like a port used by Yahoo!Messenger... Check what's running in your PC with this: Process Explorer http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/ProcessExplorer.mspx And what is started at boot time with: CodeStuff's Starter: http://codestuff.mirrorz.com/ and Autoruns http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx (Don't disable or delete anythings unless you know what's you're doing! Ask before...) The best is to keep the starting programs at the minimum possible... May be Yahooo!Messenger is started automatically... Limit What You Load at Startup Check this with Starter (less complete but more simple than Autoruns...)
