    Here's what I did:
    1. Downloaded Trial version (build 937) and installed it
    2. Created full Rescue CD
    3. Rebooted
    4. Created a backup image of my C: partition (see disk/hardware details below). Destination for the image was a file in G:\, split up into DVD-sized files.
    5. Booted up with Rescue CD
    6. Selected Check Image and selected the image I just created

    Here's what happened:
About a minute or so (varies each time) into the checking (status says it has an hour and 12 minutes remaining), the machine locks up. I have tried this a few times and it happens 100% of the time.

    Hardware Info:
    C: is a partition of a RAID0 Array
    - SATA RAID controller is an Intel 82801FR
    - Array is made up of 2 Seagate ST3250823AS SATA 7200 8M drives (250gb)
G: is the full partition of a RAID0 Array
    - SATA RAID controller is an Intel 82801FR
    - Array is made up of 2 Samsung SP1213C SATA 7200 8M drives (120gb)
CPU is an Intel Pentium 4 3.6GHz, Hyper-Threaded

Appreciate any info/workarounds/fixes you can provide. I am looking for a good backup solution for this system and have high hopes for True Image. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tony

    Hello tonygod,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for your inconvenience. Please try the "acpi=off noapic" workaround and if it doesn't help please create sysinfo.txt file and send to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread (please see https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317 for the detailed instructions). We will certainly help you with the solution.

Could you please also check your image in Windows and let me know the result?

    Thank you.

    Hello tonygod,

I am very glad to hear the workaround helped you. We may give you the instructions on how to get the "acpi=off noapic" parameters included into the Acronis Bootable CD. To do that please send a letter with the link to this thread and the serial number for Acronis True Image. We will provide you with the necessary information.

    Thank you.
