I am currently using the 'official' LNS mIRC ruleset. Unfortunately, I have not had any luck in being able to send/receive files via mIRC DCC. I do know that the Server Auth rule goes above the TCP Block Incoming rule, and that works perfectly. It is the send/receive files via mIRC DCC portion of this ruleset that I am having trouble with, both in placement and setup.

Thank you very much for your assistance, in advance.

    Hi mersdad :)

1- put an exclamation mark for each rule in the rule set to have an entry each time the rule is applied

2- in the option tab check the four log options

3- try Mirc again (to have some good samples in the log)

4- Upload here a copy of this log
    The log is there:

5- makes a copy of your rules set, rename it by adding a trailing .TXT and upload it here (Button "manage attachment" ...)

    We will see....

    :)

I modify your rules anyway and put comments on the coresponding line.
    Should be better...

    Modified rules set here...

    Climenole,

I just wanted to thank you for assisting me. Not only have you solved my prevailing mIRC issue(s) and edited (with comments!) my LNS ruleset, you've also educated me. For that, and all the above, I am most grateful.

    Sincerely,

    Mersdad

    Hi mersdad :)

So MiRC problem solved: good. :thumb:

About the other weird packets: forget that! I 've just realised that they are from outside (-D)... Strange but this is not from your PC and they are blocked by LnS ...

    :)
