Linux Mint's Windows-centric Linux desktops have a good reputation. That is its bread and butter in a day and age when Microsoft has hung PC and notebook users out to dry in pursuit of the mobile market.

KDE 4.10 is a solid and stable build and Windows users will feel right at home in it. If its anything like Cinnamon and MATE, LM gets brownie points for sticking to tradition. :thumb:

Linux Mint 15 Olivia KDE - The eyes smile doth not

I've written a review of Linux Mint 15 Olivia 64-bit with KDE desktop environment, tested on a laptop with SSD and Intel graphics, covering live session, installation and post-install usage, including look & feel, Wireless, Samba sharing, multimedia playback - Flash and MP3, quad-boot setup, installation details and slideshow, applications, package management & updates, desktop effects, system stability, system resources, suspend & resume, some problems like text-to-speech and printing utilities, overall impression, and more. Enjoy.
