Wow I have to say Linux Mint 14 is a big step for the Mint team, and I have to say I'm very impressed! :thumb: Best Mint KDE Version to date IMHO! :thumb: I'm using Oxygen Dark theme with oxyTablets-dark Icons, and classic menu style!

i'd probably go with KDE if i had the machine to run it.

    it's my favorite desktop environment.
the few games i tried with KDE were also slower than with other distros with different desktop managers.

Sweet! Is Oxygen Dark an included theme or a separate download? What about the transparency?

Just open "System Settings" and you can download and change Themes & Icons through, "Application Appearance" and "Workspace Appearance". The transparency is part of the theme.

To get the desktop like in the screen-shot, right click on the desktop and click where it says "default desktop settings" and your settings window will pop up, choose "Search and Launch" for the Layout setting.

I couldn't find any theme called Oxygen Dark. Also, when I applied a theme, it only changed the taskbar and menu. Windows still looked the same.

It sounds like you only went to Workspace Appearance
I should have called it Scheme instead of Theme.....................
First go to System Settings, then to Application Appearance, you can download the Scheme Oxygen Dark in Colors by clicking Get New Schemes, Apply your new scheme, then go to Workspace Appearance- Window Decorations and choose Oxygen. and Bam ;)
