Lifetime License

Have they ever sold Returnil with a lifetime license before?

Seems to be a good software to have without the need of extra antivirus software.

No, as lifetime licensing is a dead-end that inevitably leads to an emphasis on revenue generation by other means to support the business when the pool of available customers dries up or becomes "stable" within the industry.

This is why you see many of those who used this model either going out of business, absorbed by another company for its user-base/tech, or resort to the use of advertising. This is why a subscription model is better in the long run as it support further development and keeps product support at the forefront of priorities rather than on simple revenue generation...
