That would make my YEAR! However, I don't think so. They have not beat any team this year that at the time were ranked higher than they were. I think they are over-ranked. Having said that, when they are hitting on ALL cylinders, they can beat anybody. They just have to be hitting on all 5 at all the right times. And that's very hard to do. I am keeping my fingers crossed. ;)

    P.S. Nice Avatar!

Yes they are. And Rick Pitino is the reason I started following KY basketball years ago. He is my fav coach. So I really do like Louisville, too. But they are even more hot/cold than KY. They struggled today against UAB (good game, though). I'm watching all of their games, too. They are my #2 team. :)

BigC - Yes, OK has a good team. I saw them play Texas Tech not long ago. But OK has struggled, too. Like KY, they will need some luck to take it all.

Looks like a close one, BigC. And against an unranked team. Same with UL today. They are ranked #6. They should have rolled through UAB easy. But then again, many feel these conference tournaments are meaningless if you alreay have a ticket to the big dance. Don't want to get your star players hurt.

P.S. And how about that NC State over Wake Forest. Makes UK more likely a #1 seed. :D

I will tell you the truth, I was just trying to stoke the fire  . I don't watch basketball or football. Just wanted to see if I could get you guys fired up but I guess not ;) I do hope your team wins as I don't have one. :D

I enjoy seeing how far the smaller colleges can advance in the playoffs.
Basketball is the great equalizer in college sports.

Exactly, Ron. In the College Tourny format, the best all-around team doesn't always win. The Pro format is better for identifying the BEST team, but the pro format is not nearly as exciting. One loss, and your on your way home. That makes every game critical, and everyone is playing their hearts out every game.

God, I love this time of the year!!!!!

Louisville---whoops! They got very lucky in this game. The freshman could have won it for Memphis.

That was one of the best finishes of all time. Even though I am a Louisville fan, I felt so bad for that guy shooting the freethrows that I was almost hoping he would make another. unbelieveable.

I assume your talking about the buzzer-beater hail-mary shot by C. Laettner in the 1992 semi-final. :'( You know exactly how to upset a KY basketball fan. Don't talk to me anymore, please. :p

    Good.

Yes. I just finished watching a taped replay. I was out during the live event. It was a nail-biter.

Another upset - Arizona just lost to Washington. And AZ was in the running for a 1-seed. I think if KY can get by FL tomorrow, they will get it.

    Kentucky played terrible. :'(

I said they would need help if they were to make it anywhere in the tournament. I think a #2 seed might even be generous.

No excuse. KY has some big boys too. KY does not have what it takes to get to the final game - a NBA potential player.
