OK, I proudly present a long review of Kubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal 64-bit on a laptop with Nvidia graphics card, covering live session, installation in a multi-boot setup from external USB disk, and post-install usage, including Wireless, Samba, look & feel, bland live experience, new partitioning options, Nvidia 310 Beta driver configuration and installation, desktop effects, webcam, applications, package management, multimedia - MP3 and Flash, resource usage, performance, responsiveness, stability, suspend & resume, Network Manager crashes and network-related problems, media playback from Samba shares, other small quirks, general trends and experience, and more. Enjoy.

If Muon uninstalls itself after a system update and the updater complains about missing administrator permissions the next time its reinstalled, just append Ksudo to the Muon launch command and everything will work peachy keen afterwards!

For the slow wireless, try disabling 802.1N in router and its back to normal again.
