Hi. I seem to be having issues btw Prevex/Sol and KIS2010. Primary install goes fine but after a reboot every thing goes to hell. On first install everything goes great but after a reboot holy cow. Issue 1 is computer fires up and everything looks fine until I start IE8 and log into the MSN homepage and as soon as I enter my passwords I get a total IE8 freeze. Opera will still work fine though. Issue 2 is everything loads but Windows Messenger all I get is the red x and if I am stupid enough to try and open IE8 nothing happens, It just hangs there and nothing pops up unless I open Opera10 which seems to work fine. The only problem with SOL in Opera10 though is it says something about website to be verified shortly and all I get is the blue thingy regardless of the site I visit. When I log off though the messenger and IE8 screens will flash just before shutdown. At this point the only solution I have found is to uninstall Prevx before I shut down and reinstall it at startup being as I know my key by heart. I have added exlusions to both programs but it doesn't seem to matter. I am running XP-SP3 and I have searched the forums but nothing seems to help. I can install Vipre and everything works fine. I wonder if I am missing something somewhere. I wonder if a delayed start would help?? Pardon my stupidity if I missed the obvious.
at first, make a prevx scan. now right klick the symbol in the tray, select tools, safe log. send this to: report@prevxresearch.com in the mail, write your problem, you can also send the thread link. hope this helps.
Hi! Can you give us more info on your system such as OS and if you are using 32bit or 64bit and the versions of your troubled Browsers besides IE8 and also the version of Prevx as the latest Official Release version is now 3.05.130 you might want to try it to see if it fixes your problem and Please do as markusg has suggested by sending a scan log: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=270590 TH
Nope the new version worked the same. Fine until a reboot and crash. I did send the scan log in though so who knows.
Hi. Just a note to let you know I seem to have found my problem. After playing with the computer over the weekend I realized PREVX/SOL seems to work fine on the other users account. Both are admins but it's an old machine and I have had problems in the past where programs ran oddly depending on which account they were installed on.Ran the KIS remover and reinstalled on the other account and now PREVX/SOL is running like a champ.
