KIS 2010 / KAV 2010 Patch 'B' Released

In case any one interested has missed this:

"On December 3, 2009 Kaspersky Lab announces release of the patch "b" for Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

The patch "b" will be automatically installed during the Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 version 736 (CF2) databases update.

Improvements:

* The problem with slowing launched programs and OS Windows 7 / XP has been fixed.
* The problem with access to a network folder stored on OS Windows XP Professional using a computer with OS Windows 7 Ultimate installed has been fixed.

Installation:

In order to install the patch "b", perform the following actions:

* run the Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 update
* when the update process is successfully done, reboot your computer
* after your computer starts, open the Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 main window
* open the Support window by clicking the Support link in the left lower part of the main application window"

So far so good in terms of impact on system & web access...seems to be improved and just about back to the way I remember it with KIS 2009. having said that it is still early days and need a bit more time to evaluate fully.

But looking good so far!

 

Two of the main issues with people were with slower working in windows explorer and internet explorer have been fixed in this patch

 

This patch seems to have sped things up for me also.
